Thanks for a Great Season!

Many thanks to all our dedicated customers for a great 2016 season. We continue to be impressed by and grateful for your dedication to buying local and buying organic. Your willingness to seek out and support local farms helps put food dollars back into the local economy and keep farmland open. Thank you!!!

No Chicken This Year

We will not have chicken for sale in 2017. We suggest these fine local farms for your chicken supply:

Backyard Chickens

Have you been wanting your own backyard chicken flock but weren't sure where to start? Join us for our Backyard Chickens class, a fun and informative one-night workshop where you will learn all the basics for producing your own eggs right in your backyard. The course is Thursday April 27, 6-9pm, at Traip Academy in Kittery, Maine.

Calling All Gardeners

There's nothing better than growing your own food, and here's your chance to learn how to do it using organic methods. We are thrilled to be once again teaching Grow Your Own Organic Garden in two locations:

Wells Adult Ed, Wells High School, Wed Apr 6, 5:30-8:30 pm

Kittery Adult Ed, Traip Academy, Thu Apr 14, 6-9pm

This one-night workshop, sponsored by the Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association, will teach you how to build healthy soil that will produce healthy, high-yielding plants. Learn the basics of composting, crop rotation, green manures, managing nutrients in the garden, and weed and insect control. Join us!

Time to Stock Up!

Although we've been busy producing about 100 birds a week since early May, our supply is not keeping up with demand. We expect to completely sell out of chicken before the end of the year, so if you were looking forward to Chick Farm chicken this winter, now is the time to stock up. Please visit our Poultry page to see what's available and our Where to Buy page for details on ordering and picking up at the farm.

Join Us At The Markets

Market season is still going strong! Stop in and say hello at the North Berwick Farmers' Market on Fridays 3-6pm or the Kennebunk Farmers' Market on Saturdays 8am to 1pm. We'll be at both markets every week through the end of October with fresh chicken, eggs, vegetables, berries, and herb plants, all certified organic.

PYO Raspberries

Our organic raspberry patch is open for picking by appointment only, 8am to sunset every day except Wednesdays and Sundays. Please visit our Produce page for more information.

Fresh Chicken Coming Soon

It won't be long now. Fresh chicken will be available every week, starting in mid-May. Be sure to sign up for our email newsletter so you'll be in the know!

Fresh Chicken Until Nov 5

We have fresh organic chicken available for farm pickup each week from now until November 5, as supplies allow. Fresh whole birds are usually available Monday through Saturday each week. We also have frozen chicken on hand. Please visit our Poultry page for all the details.

One of the best signs of spring: our organic asparagus is ready! You can pick it up here at the farm, on the honor system in the pickup area of the barn. Please visit our Produce page for all the details.

Veggies at the Farm

While supplies last, we're offering a variety of fall vegetables for sale at the farm, including potatoes, onions, garlic, and sweet potatoes. Our Produce page has all the details. Please contact us to order vegetables for farm pickup.

And be sure to sign up for our email newsletter! (See sidebar at right.) Our newsletter goes out every week or two during the growing season and less often during the winter. You can browse previous issues in our Newsletter Archive.
